It is hard to believe we have been in a new home for almost five years.   We love living in a small city.  We love walking into the local grocery store and the clerks say hello to us, and best of all seeing the sunsets.

We have made so many new friends that are now a significant part of our lives. And we love the sunsets off our deck

We have had an amazing year.  Since we live in the jumping off place for the San Juan Islands we took an extensive boating certification class.  This involved three days of learning about boating system, navigtion, reading charts, and learning how to dock a 40 boat without thrusters.  The class culminated in a 4 day cruise through the San Juan Islands where we got hands on experience of all the exercises we had learned.  That certification led to a terrific week long charter on a 41 foot trawler, boating in the San Juan Islands for a week.

We also got an opportunity to go fishing in Canada for 5 days.  We caught salmon, halibut, and rock fish and brought home 90 pounds of fresh caught wild fish.  It was awesome.
